We started this project by removing old cracked driveway and replacing with McNear Old Country Pavers in Charcoal Grey.
- Driveway replacement: We began by removing the old, damaged driveway and installing McNear Old Country Pavers in Charcoal Grey as a replacement. This choice of material not only improved the appearance of the driveway but also provided a durable and long-lasting surface.
- Permit acquisition: To ensure compliance with local regulations, the client requested that we obtain the necessary permits for the driveway aspect of the project. We meticulously drew out all required plans and worked closely with the Department of Building Inspection, Department of Street Use and Mapping, and the Department of Public Works to secure the appropriate permits.
- Veneering existing planters: To further enhance the visual appeal of the outdoor space, we veneered the face and top of the existing raised planters. This update tied in seamlessly with the new driveway and contributed to the overall cohesive design.
- Custom water feature: At the client’s request, we designed and installed a custom water feature that added a touch of tranquility and elegance to the landscape.
- Plant selection, lighting, and irrigation system: To complete the project, we carefully selected plants that would thrive in the environment and complement the overall design. We also installed an efficient irrigation system to ensure proper watering and maintenance of the greenery. Additionally, we incorporated outdoor lighting throughout the space, adding both functionality and ambiance.
By executing each aspect of the project with precision and attention to detail, we successfully transformed the client’s outdoor area into a visually appealing and functional space, complete with a new driveway, updated planters, a custom water feature, and a well-designed lighting and irrigation system.
